The new Chicks on Chic collection takes us all the way back to the 80s but still maintains us in the modern fashion world of the 20th century, which serves as the basis on which the designer Emina Štrkljević built her new "Tempted" collection.

BRAVER, BOLDER AND MORE RELAXED
The designer takes us to the time when everything was more relaxed and the outfits were more brave. For this season Chicks on Chic boldly suggests colors, and lots of them! For the spring / summer 2017 Chicks on Chic suggests a flamboyant orange color combined with black, turquoise, purple and yellow in combination with white. Elegant dresses, "pajamas" shirts, culottes pants, jumpsuits and mantil dresses called "mantillas" inspired by the classical topcoat. The stunningly beautiful pieces are made of lightweight materials such as silk, light twill cotton fabric and viscose satin. The designer Emina Štrkljević opposed shiny and matte fabrics to achieve the wanted contrast and that special dose of dramatics.
AN UNUSUAL FASHION STORY
The campaign was shot by Alma Štrkljević in Split 3, Trstenik, in the architectural environment designed by Dinko Kovačić. With this campaign Alma wanted to give an honor to one of the most important urban-architectural projects in Split.
Alma said:“ I wanted to make an unusual fashion story in which I confronted fashion and architecture, colors and concrete, softness and strength. With these new projects, architects and city planners wanted to restore the neighbour's closeness and create a settlement that will encourage people to socialize so Danea Jonjić and Marija Kovač hung out on the streets and embodied the Chicks on Chic girl, who is just seemingly gentle but who is not afraid to stand out from the crowd.“
"TEMPTED" WILL ARRIVE SHORTLY IN STORE
The pieces from the "Tempted" collection by Chicks on Chic will be in store shortly. As sustainability means a lot to us, you'll also be seeing it in this collection. The fabrics are carefully chosen, hand made by the talented Emina Štrkljević and made on the basis of slow fashion. We might only have 1 piece on stock but as soon as that piece gets sold Emina will create the next one. We just don't want anything to go to waist and that's why we practise like we do.
